You are actually covered by the Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act which states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question. This means that unless the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11435 that you referenced is the reason that you are needing repairs on your 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata the dealer has to honor the warranty.

It technically doesn't matter which side you start on though usually you start installation on the side with the shorter wires because that is the side the converter will mount on. In this case that would be the right (passenger's) side of the vehicle.
You are correct, step 3 in the instructions for wiring harness # 56082, linked for reference, should say to route the connectors with the yellow wires to the drivers side and repeat the process. The issue is that almost every other wiring... view full answer...
Curt suggests that the professional install time for hitch # C11028 on a 2006 Mazda Miata is 90 minutes. The wiring harness, # 56082, should install in half that time at most since it just plugs in line with the vehicle tail light wiring and does not require a power wire from the battery. So beginning to end I would estimate 2 to 3 hours tops. This is based on a professional installation by someone who has installed hitches and wiring harnesses before. view full answer...
There is a place called San Diego Trailer Supply in the San Diego area that could perform the installation for Curt trailer hitch # C11028. Or any trusted mechanic or RV dealer with a service center could perform the installation as well. I have included a link to a video showing how the hitch installs and a link to the instructions. Using these links you might determine that installation is something you could do at home. view full answer...

On certain Curt trailer hitches, Curt requires a stabilization strap for their warranty on non-trailer loads. The strap in question is # 18050. One end attached to the bike rack or cargo carrier, the other end has a hook meant to attach to the gap between the trunk or hatch and the body of the vehicle. Basically any place that it can attach will work as long as it relieves some of the stress on the hitch.
I have included a link to a video that shows how to use the strap with a bike rack. view full answer...
Running the 12 volt power power wire for the Curt # C56300 on your 2021 Mazda Miata can definitely be tricky. This really should be connected to the battery as this will keep the wiring from causing any interference with the vehicle's computers.
With that said, I included an install video we have of this wiring harness being installed on a 2020 Miata that should help the process. What we did was follow the brake lines up to the engine bay and made routing them a lot easier. Following these... view full answer...
